After your child has met his or her goals, we may recommend that we take a break from services, or that therapy cease altogether.
We will update you on your child’s progress and collaborate with you on changing or discontinuing the intervention plan so we are all in agreement.
If new needs arise, we are always glad to resume services at a later date.
We typically require at least a one month notice for discontinuing therapy services. This time allows us to talk with your child about the upcoming transition, to provide any additional home or school recommendations, and to say goodbye to your child in a gentle way. Our clients often come to care about and depend on us, so we want to acknowledge that bond by changing it in a caring and gradual manner.
